Urgent Care :: Turtle behaves strange???

My turtle, Monkey, has been acting quite strange over the last couple of days. First, she wouldn't eat and was trying to get out of the tank and now she goes up on the basking area, puts her 'behind' in a corner (under a piece of wood) and holds her tail with one foot and scrapes the other one on the bottom of the plattform.

Has anyone ever had this happen??? Is she alright???

Hmm... probably it's time for the turtle to lay eggs? If that's the case, it's time
for you to prepare a nesting area.

Kemul is right. There's been a lot of similar questions on the forum about females acting strange all of a sudden, and most of them turned out to be pregnant. I think there are some pictures of nesting boxes somewhere around the forum...

Monkey is around 3 years old. I did try to put her in a tupperware tub of dirt, but it really freaked her out and I was worried that she was becoming too stressed out if I left her in there too long. Is this natural?

I don't know how big your tank is, but maybe try putting a nesting box IN the tank so she can feel free to explore it on her own. She will see it is an undisturbed area that is comfortable. She shouldn't stress or freak out since it will be in her comfort zone.
