Urgent Care :: Pip got outside please help

I have had my red for over 12 years i love him with all that i am and im realy upset my girlfriend while cleaning left the front door to our house open for a short time while cleaning and pip was out as he is allot when we are home running around the house now i cant find him and he may have gotten outside i live on a fishing preserve so there is lots of space and ponds and i want him back please help any ideas tips i have even walked the ponds with his food container which he always runs to im a dying here i cant even handle it and another great thing is i live in upstate new york and its cold as heck here and i fear i have lost my bestfriend forever

id keep looking, its rly all u can do, make sure to check everywhere in your house too, all the nooks and crannies

well i have turned my house upside down three times i even left work early yesterday just to look for him he is no where to be found i mean no where and i didnt take it well at all so all i can hope for is some magic story where he appears on my lawn in the spring thanks for the the support i didnt realize how much that turtle meant to me i mean i completely lost it

Perhaps you can try searching under loose dirt and bushes. RES can dig well and
usually prefers hiding under something. If the turtle's not in the house, it must
be outside somewhere, right?

Good luck searching. I lost my turtle in my yard for about half a year, but it finally
showed up. Who knows the "magic" is there for you as well.

If the terrapin is over 10 years of age, I suppose its rather big correct? If its in the house, no problem you'll find it. Once it gets outside give up. Chances are that guy took off in the reserve already. Although daily checks around the house may help. Good luck, it sucks right? If you think thats bad I had an RES 6 years ago when I lived in a flat. I left a celery stick in there too high, and after I dropped a few bombs in the toilet and came out, he was gone. Next day I found his body on the lobby. He had falled 24 floors down to his death... Not a nice sight. But yeah good luck.
