I have two RES about 7 months old now.
water changed everyday. tap water normal room temperature.
Food dry prawns just once every day.

now one RES has got lazy . she opens her mouth at an interval....is nt eating either...cud it be any respiratory issue

and the second RES seems to be shedding skin its like thin membrane hanging around legs tail and neck...and can only be seen if seen closely.
also he eats a lot and when i mean a lot its just tht his appetite is huge..

i m really worried abt the female RES .and finding a VET in india is pretty tough...so any medication would be appreciated...

thanks.

It sounds like she has a respiratory infection. You can't really do anything to treat that without proper medication from a herp vet. Unfortunately I think that the vet is your only chance so do your best and find one. Try at a local zoo, they might have vets that know how to treat turtles.

The shedding on the male turtle is perfectly normal. RES usually have a big appetite and are really good at begging for food. Just make sure you don't fall into that trap and overfeed him.

i don't think it is necessary to change the water everyday unless it get really dirty everyday.

what's normal room temp?

if the turtle is sick you may want to raise the temp of the water.

i assume you have the all the required setup to house the turtle properly - basking site with lamp, and UVB bulb.

They also need more than just prawns every day (and the prawns are high in protein). Vary the diet more and get a good pellet to include in the diet.

What's the water temp and basking area temp? Temps that are too cool will encourage an RI, especially if the turtle is not in the best of health to begin with.

How long has the one RES been acting like this? If the behavior continues, I'd separate the one that's "sick" and keep him warmer---water temp at about 82F and basking area around 90F. Look for a herp vet.

Do check those temps...

I'm not familiar with the appetizer, but rather than spending your money on stuff like that, get a good submersible water heater to keep the temp constant. Lukewarm water (what temp was it?) will cool quickly, and it's virtually impossible to continually be there to keep adding more to the tank. Get a heater and get a thermometer to checkthe temp. If it's getting cooler where you are, your turtles are going to need one...
