Urgent Care :: shell issue

i have a RES...i had him/her for 1 month and 22 days...he is already 1" and a half...recently i have observed that there is a white spots on his shell that is beginning to appear...i don't know if this is a fungi or he is just shedding...will someone help me?

I do not see any white spots in particular, it looks like some of the scutes may be wanting to shed, hence the copper-like appearance of them. 1.5" is still a bit small for shedding, though.

What is your setup like? What type of lighting do you have? Size of tank, total gallons? Where did you get your RES? We will need more info to be able to help you out!

I only see a few vague white spots in the first pic, but the pics need to be clearer to know what you're referring to.

I will say, however, that the light color of the seam (line in between the scutes) indicates your RES is growing...

sorry for the not so clear pictures that I posted...I'll take some clearer pictures tonight...I have measured him again and he is now 2"...the measurement that I have provided was the measurement that I took last month...for the lighting I only have a UVA bulb since every morning I let them bask under the heat of the sun for about an hour...
