the black lines between the scutes or w/e(sorry extremely tired) are pretty thick, or at leats it looks like it is to me and at the edges of some of the scutes it is turning white and it is only at one corner im afraid something is wrong ill post pics when i get time tomorrow its late and my turtle is asleep i dont want to make him/her
is something wrong?

Some pictures would definitely help.

Thick black lines in between the scutes are a sign of fast growth which is obviously not very good. You should look into how much you are feeding your turtle. The amount of food per day should be equal (approximately) to the size of the turtle's head without the neck.

How thick is not normal? As mine are shedding and I can see some black lines.

When they shed the wide seam/black line in between the scutes will become much smaller, since the area will be part of the scutes.

What is that dark area on the spine in the last pic?

He has had it since I got him. But since the shedding has sped up, it is becoming more apparent. I have examined it several times, it is not soft.

What marissa said applies in your case too. It doesn't look like anything serious to me but I hope other people will offer their opinion as well.

Also the whiteness of the back scutes is because he will have to shed sometime in the near future. It doesn't look like shell rot.

I couldn't give you a time as it depends on a lot of factors. It's like asking for an exact time when your turtle will reach a certain dimension. No one knows for sure. You will see more (and eventually all) of his scutes turn that same whitish colour and only after that they should slowly start falling off.

I'm assuming he has never shed before. Is this right?

Just to be on the safe side: if you touch the white area is it soft? Does it smell funky? This should rule out shell fungus.

Great, then you shouldn't worry. I would say he should shed in a few months although this is merely a guesstimate.
