Urgent Care :: open mouth breathing under water, is that a problem?

I noticed today that my bigger turtle is breathing with his mouth open underwater. I read a previous message about open mouth breathing and the author said it happened out of the water, well mine happens within. Does this mean he has a RI? I just got a new tank and he has been hiding out in the plants and now that he is breathing with his mouth open under water, i am concerned. He is eating well and i don't notice any unbalance swimming, then again, he's hiding out....he scurries when he swims but i thought that was normal vs a sign of being sick....comfused and a newbie!

First off, it can't really be breathing if he's under water Sounds like he's drinking or yawning. Mine do it all the time

Well thats funny! He's probably drinking.....and since I am new to this, like any new mother, I believe everything is wrong, when everything is just fine. Thanks for the reliever.
