While in his feeding container, my turtle climbed out and fell about 2.5-3.0 feet onto his back. I checked out his shell and there aren't any cracks in it and he is moving around fine so it doesn't seem like he has broken any bones. Should I take him to a vet to make sure there aren't any internal problems? Thanks for the advice everyone.

He fell onto a linoleum floor. I felt so bad that I gave him an extra treat and he ate it so it doesn't seem like his appetite has suffered too terribly. He just seems really shaken up from the experience

That's why turtle's have strong shells! But really, he should be okay, just keep an eye on him. Check for bruising over the next few days, broken or favored limbs, or any sort of blood coming from his mouth or butt. As long as none of that happens, everything is probably fine. You can always get X rays done, but they are a fortune.

My turtle fell from a balcony on the second floor and she was okay. The same exact thing happened to me: she climbed out of the feeding container. She had a little blood at the mouth but once I wiped that away she was fine. She probably landed head first.

my turt also performed the houdini routine... but luckly fell 3 feet into a bucket of plastic bags ... which broke his fall. at the time i didn't know they could survive hours without being in water.

my missus found him (and scared me half to death as she screamed) and thought he was dead but he wasn't and he's still with us!
