Even though the SSD is in baytril, it's not going to be in the strength that would be used topically. Unless a turtle has a systemic infection, giving an antibiotic (Baytril) that's not necessary only increases the chances of the turtle becoming resistant to it if at some point it was needed for the purpose it was intended for.
