I have just noticed that our smaller turtle is bleeding from the nail. I'm not sure of the cause but, it seems like the previous owner cut the male's nails because they grew so long. And I guess one nail was cut to far in. I have had him for about a week and this has not happened before today.

My mom and I added some ointment to the nail and seperated him from the other turtle in a cardboard box. Is there anything else I can do? I'm very worried about him. Will he heal? You can barely see the nail on the one hand.

it will most likely heal. he should be fine. but if it gets infected or looks like its getting worse than you should make your way to a vet
