Urgent Care :: Any one if this supposed to be a RES?

I was surfing craigslist and saw this ad

This guy is just getting rid of this turtle and its shell looks awful and I hope its not a res, if it is I think I might go get it and take it to a rescue here, I dont want someone taking it and just keeping it the way it is. I cant afford to house it but if I can at least get it to a rescue that would make me feel way better. Or to the herp society here in seattle.

I don't know, it looks like it could be a slider, but the picture is so small. If you can give it to a rescue, I would definitely do that. But most rescues are rather full, so you might take it and be stuck with it for awhile. Check on the rescue first, and then contact the poster.

I wrote the guy but he never wrote me back.... i feel so bad for the thing. He is probably just going to dump it in some lake. I told him thats illegal and I would take it and find it a better home or a rescue.

Well thats all that ytou can do, good job trying too help him out I hope he gives him too you so he can have a shot at a decent life.
