Urgent Care :: submersible heater broke

.......Donatello's submersible heater broke......

is there anything that i could do to mend it asap?

as donatello is a hatchling RES...

and he needs that warm water!!!

ive read about using silicone and the source said it worked but. then i read..just to bag it and buy a new one..

what do i do til i get him a new one???

Yeah you'll definitely need a new heater. Since your turtle broke that one, I'd look into the Marineland visi-therm stealth heater since it's plastic and durable.

But until then, just replace with warm water to keep the temp up. Kick up the heater in the house to keep the ambient air temp up as well so you water won't cool down as fast.

ill be the third to say that you need a new heater ASAP....the longer you wait to more likely bad things may happen.

sorry to be a pessimist, but it's pretty necessary.

If the room does get too cold, you can take Donatello out and let him sleep in a warmer room.

When you get your new heater buy a spare. I always keep a spare for my fish tanks because they don't last forever and they really aren't that expensive.
