i dont use sand. i use rocks bigger than my turtles

sand is cheep its like 3 bucks for a 50lb bag and thats good for a 50g tank its the best look for it a home depot or even colorful stuff at walmart for about the same as pebbles i say sand is the way to go look up the sticky on this site!

I know,i use that sand for my hermit crabs. 5$ per 50lbs . I know

Well,just wait and see if he poops it out,and if he doesn't then you need to see a vet.Oh, and sanoske312 I wouldn't recommend using sand,because it's harder to clean.

hey turtle lover i personally have a clean bottom tank but my gf was sand in hers and its actually quite easy to maintain if you use chris rake idea it makes life alot easier but to each their own i guess
