if u go to this link and read the replies and such, it doesn't say much. but my turtles have the exact same condition. i have proper filtering, healthy diet and proper lighting, what could be causing it?

is it bad, they seem fine, i mean they eat ad swim regularly. so i dont know if its bad or not?

How long have you had them? How bad is it? From the pics on the other post you have, it looks like shell rot.

how do i deal with shell rot??

and i've noticed with my smallest turtle, it has a white spot on its shell near its head. is that shell rot. another condition, the back of its shell is flimsy, i dunno if its just growing or shedding cuz thats the way it looks at the back. but as for the white spot, its rally tiny bout 1/4 of a shell scute. is that shell rot????

i have proper filtering and proper lighting and i clean the tank at least once every two weeks if not mroe often.

should i be letting the water sit for 48 hours before i put it into the tank. i read that thats only done for fish, do i need to do that for turtles as well.

i was reading other sites, i just read htat i could brush it. there was one white spot near the back and it ended up peeling off, i dont know how to describe it other than like peeling a thin layer of skin off.

as for the front, i tried the same, but a tiny corner of the front scute came off???

this has only occured in the tiniest ot my turtles. he's an inch long.
