Today I saw one of my boys vomit 4 or 5 times. He hasn't eaten in hmm, 1 or 2 day (his typical eating routine) And this evening when I went to shut the basking light off, I noticed one of his eyes was kind of crispy? It had some eye gunk on it, never seen it before. He also is kind of lethargic. Usually when we take him out of his tank and place him back on his island, he scuttles off into the water asap, but he just kinda sat there today.

If anyone has any suggestions or experience with these symptoms, please respond, I'm worried about him. Thanks.

I'd seriously consider making an appointment with a vet.

How big/old is he? The lethargy combined with the eye problem (both eyes?) and difficulty eating (what is he being fed?) sounds like the turtle may have an RI. If he's not eating, a vet visit would be the best thing to do. Until you get him to one, keep him warm (I'd separate him from the others)--water about 80-81 and basking area 10 degrees higher. Good luck. Let us know how he does.

Well, he seems to be doing better today. We had some turtle eye drop things we used to help with whatever we could. He is eating normal, swimming and basking at normal rates (he seemed to be basking almost all day yesterday which is unusual for him). And he's doing his little peculiar Cornelius'isms that he does so well. It's totally odd, never seen him act that sick and get over it in a snap. Is there such a thing as a '1 day cold' turtles can get? Anyone ever had their boys go thru this? Anyways, thanks for the responses.

I would keep an eye on him just in case. What are the water and basking area temps?
