Can you search the forums on here to see if anyone else has ever experienced these white spots and see if you can link their topic on here to give us an idea? You can also look on google to see if you can find a pic on there.

Since he's acting normally, you have some time to investigate the spots. Can you take a gentle cloth and some water and lightly scrub the spots? Do they go away?

Are the spots present both in and out of water, or one or the other?

Are they completely white? Do they have any color to them? Are they fuzzy? Are they bumpy or hard? Do they scratch off?

It could be anything from hard water deposits to a fungus ...

Shiny white spots sound like pre-shed air bubbles to me. My turtle has the same thing right now.

Mine also is growing these strange off-white colored spots. they seem to be spreading so i'm a bit worried. i'm attaching a couple pics, you can't see them too well but in real life they are more pronounced. I haven't tried scrubbing him or anything yet...

It would help if you could take your turtle out of the tank, allow him to fully dry, then take a pic of his shell condition.

A pic of the shell dry would be more helpful. Why do I see bits of red in the larger white area? Is it just the pic?

Loos to me like shedding mine had had that on his shell for about a month or 2 and it's all due to shedding.
