I made a post earlier about my turtle sneezing, but everything seemed OK. But he started again today, and I noticed that there were bubbles around his mouth!! Also, he is on the basking rock EVERY waking moment, he almost never swims, I even have to push him in the water to feed him. Also on that note, Leo has not eaten in about 3 or 4 days. His eyes don't seem puffy and as far as I can see there is no open mouth breathing, but I think something is seriously wrong with my turtle! Please help!

Ok, just to make sure of a few things.. what's the water and basking temp? Do you notice bubbles around his nose/mouth when he's out of the water, or just when he's in the water?? Any sort of mucus/snot around his nose or eyes?

My turtles have both been basking more than usual but I think it's just the change of seasons from what I've read.

Let us know how he's doing.

No I don't see mucus, I only saw the bubbles on his mouth right after he sneezed (above water). The water temp is 74 and I have to check the basking temp again so I"m not positive Thanks for your response cam

Well his water temp should be around 78 and if he's sick you should raise it to like 80-82. His basking temp should be about 90 or a bit higher. The cold water temperature could be why he's basking a lot and why he may be getting sick. Do you have a water heater? If so check the settings and turn it up. If not, I suggest you get one ASAP.

Oh I thought 78 was only if he was a hatchling, but I will raise the temp, and yes I do have a heater, it's set at 64 and the water is 74 lol. I'll turn it up some more. I also just noticed that part of the area around his mouth is white now, (looks like it lost color, not like something is covering it). The mouth used to be green with lines of white now it looks all white!! Also, I found what appeard to be a white poop at the bottom!! What is wrong with him?

Sounds like possibly the start of an RI. If he's still eating (a good sign) and you keep him warm (water 81-82F and basking area 10 degrees warmer, it will boost his immune system and help him fight the infection. Keep him out of any drafts and breezes as well. If the bubbles continue and/or you see other symptoms, get him to a herp vet.
