hello, does anyone have any experience with the skin swelling near the shell and around the neck? i do not think this is a case if being overweight.

Can you post some pictures?
How long have you noticed the swelling?
And, what is the turtle's habitat and diet like?

no, cant do pictures right now...
the eyes do not appear to be swollen,
large 50 gallon tank with rocks, uvb flour. bulb, basking light, canister filter, etc....
warm, not hot environment, shade areas...
i feed him pellets as well as red leaf lettuce and cuttle bone on occasion
only for two days...swelling went down last night

Where was he swollen? Was it just one spot like a leg or was his entire body swollen? It's good that it's going down.
Is he kept inside or outdoors?

How old is the turtle? What is his diet normally like?
