Urgent Care :: Help, RES dying?

My beautiful Cloud is progressively getting worse. More and more scutes are coming off leaving white exposed. She is still active and eats heartily. I'm afraid that the exposed shell means her impending doom. What do I do? Her shell is seperating from itself. She smells yucky. The vet told me to just spray her with antifungal athlete's foot spray.
I bought some nolvasan and have been cleaning her wounds. I also have sulfa dip, cuttle bone and shell conditioner. Nothing I'm doing seems to be helping. The pet shop had her in terrible conditions and now I feel I'm paying for the years of malnutrition she suffered. Is there any hope? Should I keep her drydocked? What do I do?I need a herp vet ASAP!

Sorry to hear this. Her infections seem severe, I hope you can find a good vet for her ASAP.

If she is still active and eating, there is still hope, as she is probably not septic. But you have to get her to a Vet very soon.......

I'd lay off the sulfa dip, the rot on the plasteron looks too deep for that stuff to do any good. I'd also stop using any kind of conditioner on her shell.
Keep using the Nolvasan and dry dock her in a warm container for 45 min.- 1 hour after applying. Keep the water in the tank as clean as you possibly can.

Poor girl! A good herp vet is definitely needed, it'll be worth a drive if that's what it takes. If she's eating and active, she should recover assuming she gets the proper treatment. Lay off the shell conditioner, as others said, it's no good. How's her setup? Does she have a good basking area with the right lighting? Is she using it? The best setup in the world won't cure her, but it sure will speed up the healing process. Good for you for trying to help her out, she looks like a sweet little turtle, she'll be your friend for life! Keep us updated!

No sulfa dip, no athlete's food spray (I tried something similar on a turtle's shell once and it made the matter worse). Do find a herp vet. In the meantime, use the Nolvasan and drydock (give her 20 - 30 minutes in super clean water twice a day to eat and get hydrated).
