I picked up my turtle today and felt a rough edge on the bottom of his shell. I looked underneath and saw that the top layer of the plastron was sort of chipping away--almost like he was shedding. I had never noticed this before and didn't know if that was normal or not. Wanted to make sure he wasn't sick!

If you read through the caresheet on the main site, you'll see that shedding is quite normal.
