Urgent Care :: Septicemia??

My turtle is acting normal. Hes eating and basking.
I noticed on his shell has a tiny pinkish spot, its not very noticeable. i was wondering could it be Septicemia should he go to the vet?

What you describe doesn't sound like septicemia. Septicemia is a very serious illness and a turtle that has it usually acts sick - lethargic, poor appetite.

However, it might be a minor injury which could turn septic if not treated. Usually a minor injury doesn't require a vet visit, but we really need to see a picture to form an opinion.

I tried taking a picture of the small spot but its so small i cant get a picture of it.
I would say its about 3-5 mm long, Maybe its a scratch. but its not very noticeable and its just a redish brown spot. I only noticed it under his heat light i could barely see it under My bedroom light.
I think im being paranoid but i thought a redish spot was weird to be on his shell.... looked like blood under a fingernail to me. maybe he scratched his shell on something he does like to dive into the water from his basking area. Ill keep you guys posted if it gets worse.

Try gently scrubbing the spot with warm water and a Q tip. Sometimes a pink mold-type thing gets on their shells, it comes from the water supply. Many people who have thought their turtles had Septicemia were able to subsequently wash it off and were relieved.

It is also very possible that it is a bruise, of sorts. Is there anything in your tank that your turtle could have landed hard on or scratched himself on?

I had a little bridge in his tank but removed it yesturday, I dont think theres anything sharp or hard he couldve got hurt on except the little bridge. I tried to wash the spot off but it didnt come off, the redish spot is located in one of the cracks (i dont know what there called sorry) on the top of his shell.
Im sorry I cant explain better i feel like an idiot haha.
