Urgent Care :: what are these white spots

I am a new res owner and on two of my three res, I have seen a white spot on the neck of two of my turtles. I am having a very difficult time with water condition, changing it twice a week. They are acting normally; eating well, swimming, basking. What is it and what needs done.

Is there any way that you can post a picture? From your description I can't really guess at what's going on. It could be a bite mark.
What is their set up like and how large are the turtles?

Welcome. How long have they had the white spots? Is the skin broken at all?

A picture would indeed be good.

What size tank are they in and what are the shell lengths (not including the shell curve) of each of them? If you have to change the water twice a week, it sounds like they're too big for the tank or you have a filter that's the incorrect size for the tank (or both).

The white spots could be nips from one of the other turtles (the one without the spot). If they're in a tank that's too small for them, territorial issues are almost guaranteed, and can happen even if they're in a large enough tank. Are there any marks/spots on the limbs or tail?
