Urgent Care :: Bravery not eating...

As the title says Bravery hasent bin eating her pellets for about two weeks now... and im not sure what is really wrong because she eats meat like chicken and but doesnt eat anything else. I dont know what to do... and its not like i gave her chicken before she stoped.so she couldnt have figured if she stoped eating the pellets shed get meat. Another thing is she trys to eat it but she spits it back out and just gives up in a way... One more thing, i know i shouldnt give her chicken and stuff but i dont want her to starvve...

She may be suffering from seasonal depression. At this time of the year, many animals start to suffer from mild depression. Don't give in and feed her only real meat, otherwise, she'll stop eating pellets altogether because she knows you'll give her the good stuff. I don't know anything about your turtle or setup. Is it possible she's pregnant or ready to lay eggs? Sometimes they stop eating right before that too. Lastly, she could be sick. I'd stop feeding her the chicken and go back to pellets and if she still doesn't eat, I'd take her to a vet.

it may be possible she has eggs but i already tryed puting her in a dirt fill container but all she did was sit there and try to get out at times... I tryed leaving her alone for about an hour or two but nothing... Also i tryed giving her pellets she seems in a way... to be rejecting them like they hurt her... I stoped feeding her chicken on wednesday but she still wont eat them... ill try geting hold of a vet...

I think a visit to the vet is in order. If it seems that she's having difficulty eating pellets, try soaking them in some tuna water to soften them before giving them to her.

How do her eyes look? Any swelling or irritation? Is she rubbing them a lot?

How is she behaving? Is she basking more than normal or acting sleepy? Or is she acting very nervous like she wants out of the tank really badly?

Have you noticed her breathing with her mouth open or yawning a lot?

If you think she's gravid (has eggs inside), you can ask the vet to x-ray her, then you'll know for sure.

Turtles can get spoiled. I suggest that you wait him out. It may take over a week to get him back on pellets. Too much meat is too much protine and can cause problems. Reptomine pellets are a good all round food with a little shortage on calcium. They can go a long time without food. Wait him out.

How do her eyes look?her eyes look fine and she doesnt rub them
How is she behaving? doesnt bask alot that i noticed but she does seem to sleep alot but they have nothing to do and they usaully sleep alot in their tank...

Double check the temperature too. A common reason for turtles to act sleepy and lose their appetites is temps that are too cool. For little ones (less than a year old), a water temp of around 78 degrees is best. For older turtles, water temp around 75 degrees is best.

Good news she ate this morning!

the temp is aroung 78 degrees is that ok they are about 6-7 years old...

78 is a little warm for a 6-7 year old but not terrible. It's better than being too cold. Once she's acting like her old self, you can lower the temp to around 75.
