Hello! Wow have I learned alot about RES in the past few days. They are so cute, but the stuff on this website is so right-on about acquiring the baby turtles and people not knowing anything. I found a tank full of baby turtles for sale at a surf shop when we went to Florida last week. $9.99 each. Isn't that illegal? Anyway, they are all set up now after much work and $$. And I thought our dogs were such an incredible commitment...

If it's any consolation, once you get a good setup, then caring for the turtle is really easy. The setup is pretty demanding but on-going care is just fun.

I agree with Spotsmama. It was kinda difficult to get my setup up to par, but now they are so fun and easy to take care of.

Indeed it is illegal to sell baby turtles. They must be 4" to sell them legally.
