Hello everyone!!!

Just found this site. I have had red eared sliders for almost 20 years now. I have a custom pond built into my deck behind my home where they live. Althought I also have a dog and 3 cats, the turtles have always been extra special to me. I am still fascinated by their lifestyle and characteristics. They are amazing animals and great pets.

Hi Jim! I'm still mostly new here too... We've had our RES for almost 10 years, yours must be quite large as ours sure are!! How many do you have?

hey Jim! Wow, you both have been doing this for a long time. That's great! It'll be nice to learn from your different experiences too. You have to post pics of your pond though. That's mandatory! ;)

Well, I was trying to stay positive in this thread but I had a bit of a tragedy last week with my "colony" of 4 turtles. See: http://www.redearslider.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=8904 for the whole story. I will certainly post some pics of the pond soon. The pond is going through a metamorphosis right now as I try to prevent a similar incident from happening in the future.
