Glad to meet you. That's quite admirable of you to have done so much research ahead of time. Can't wait to learn more about your new turtles!

wow! i've never been welcomed so much! my tuetles names are squirt, leo, and mango. i did so much resarch for my turtles because i hade some last at about the same time, but they all died pretty soon. it was really sad. but i was deturmind to show everyone that i could raise my own pet. (i don't have a great reputaton for raising my own pets  ) but i got on the internet and found out what i did wrong. this time i've had my res for 3 1/2 weeks now and thier really heathy and active. all my friends and family (and me of corse) can really see the difference. my brother says that "these ones are so much cool" than my other ones. but i do have to addmit, a year of researching has made me a total turtle nerd!

Welcome to the forum, luv4sun! Sorry to hear about your first turtles, but it's really commendable that you took the time to do some proper research before trying again.

I wish everyone would realize how much is involved with caring for any animal and properly research each animal before buying it. Even getting different types of turtles requires some research for each one's needs. Same with fish and most all reptiles and amphibians really. Impulse buying at petstores is really really bad, but unfortunately, that's how they hook in most of their customers.
