My Name is Erin and I currently have 1 RES Turtle named Juelz. She's ( Im going with She since she isnt big enough to tell..I was once told you could tell if it was male or female by if the shell on the bottom was curved up, but I now know its by how long the claws are) only about 2 inches long since I won her at a block party this past summer. 7 years ago my mother did the very same thing and her RES, Jake is HUGE. I'll have to take pictures of jake the next time I go home, but I will get you guys a bunch of Juelz sometime soon.
Im still trying to get my tank together, I had her in a smaller tank but I got a 10 gallon tank, so shes currently in that. One of the problems I have recently fixed (by moving the tank into my bedroom) was that my two cats, Jada and Ink, kept jumping up on top of the tank and scratching, thus getting tons of cat hair in the tank. I ended up redoing the whole tank making sure I got all the hair out and setting up in my bed room since the cats arent allowed in there. But with that being one of the main problems fixed, all is good. I'll get pics of my set up soon.
Besides Juelz, I have 5 fish: Terrance and Phillip who are gold fish who are about 2 years old, Spot whos a Koi, And Wally and Willy who are suckers aka alge eaters. My newest Goldfish Nemo, passed away last week. Spot and Willy are my newest fish as for 2 weeks ago and Ive had Terrance, Phillip and Wally since they were babies, 2 years ago. I also have a hamster, Cujo, whos about a year. She gave birth to 14 babies last spring after I got her, which I gave right back to petco..and Of course our My lovely Babies Jada and Ink. Thats My Zoo as of right now. I'd love to have a dog but they are allowed in the apt.
As For myself, Im currently in my second year in college ( Spring semester stars in few hours ). Im majoring in Nursing and working on a minor in EMT. Im currently employed at area nursing home as a CNA. I love to help people. I live in my own apartment with my Fiance, David. We Currently dont have any children, but I'll keep all of you updated with that.
Now, lol Ive realized all of the above was probably so off topic but I thought if I was going to introduce myself, I better write a book. Besides, Im waiting for david to get home so I got time to myself...which is rare. Anyways, Im so excited to learn more about Juelz and all of you!

I dont know if its just me, but Ive never ever seen Juelz eat. Ive had her for about 7 months and have not yet to see her eat. I figured she must be since thats alittle long for her to go without anything. I started her on the flooting sticks, but then tried this different colored floating little balls for aquatic turtles, but Ive since switched back. My moms Turtle eats seconds after she feeds him, but Ive never ever seen her eat or even being excited when I feed her. Thats the only thing that bothers me about her..I know this probably needs to be in the Care section, but she doesnt seem sick or anything..she just ..I dunno, Maybe shes shy?
