I rescued Chico from a neighbor. He was living in a small (10 gallon) aquarium with about 2 inches of black, stinky water. He couldn't even turn around and I have no idea how he was eating. When I first got him I was planning to find a home for him but I quickly fell in love with him and decided to keep him. I have learned so much from this site (I have been a visitor for the past several months, but I registered today because I have a couple of questions to post) and Chico is happy and healthy. Thanks to everyone for all of the help.

Welcome! I also read the posts on this site a couple of months before I registered... (I didn't have internet access over the summer unless I went to the cumputer lab on campus). Anyway, most of the people on here are very happy to answer any of the questions that you might have. Have any pictures of your new companion?

Welcome! I rescued my Zeke from a 20 gallon 'turtle' tank so about 12 gallons...he is upgraded to a 30 gallon fish tank (still small I know) with an above tank basking area so it's LOTS more swimming room, and he was on a pellet only diet....he is now graduated to lettuce, and various other foods and is coming along great. I've had him for about 3 months now, and once we get a head of some bills and out on our own (living in my MIL's basement) we will get him a bigger tank 90 gallon or so). Anyways Welcome!
