Hi,
My name is Kate. We have a female RES named Myrtle. We have had her for five years and enjoy her tremendously! Before we had a turtle I didn't know what neat personalities they had.
When we first got Myrtle she was a tiny little thing about an inch to an inch and a half long. Now she's huge! she's about the size of the palm and fingers of my hand.
I've learned alot about the care of RES on the internet and stumbled across your site so I thought I'd stop and say hello.
Myrtle's fav treat is watermelon.
I'm thinking about trying a few feeder fish in her tank but I'm hesitant because I hate to try new things with her when her current environment is working so well.
