Health problems resolved

Hi everyone! It's been awhile since I posted. My RES, Tootsie is now 52 yrs old and still going strong. He has only had two health problems over the years. First, when he was about 3, my older brother put a wild painted turtle he found in Tootsie's tank. The next day we noticed that the wild turtle bit his front left foot off! Fortunetely, it healed well and he has survived quite well with a club foot. He is a "very" active swimmer and loves to walk and follow me around the house. A more recent problem was with his shell that has since healed with the help of his vet. We had moved and Tootsie was in a temporary tank that didn't have enough sun. As a result he developed a scale rot. But all is ok now. He gets plenty of sun to keep his shell healthy.
