adding a turtle good or bad idea???

i have recently aquired a res and have built an indoor pond. it is roughly 5ft by 3ft with a basking area 36in by 18in. water is roughly 14in deep about 122 gallons. the res we have in is a 9in female we thing 14 yrs old and are interested in another female our vet has for addoption. they are very close in size and im wondering A if the habbitat is going to be large enough and B is it a good idea to introduce an new friend any and all comment or sugestions would be very helpful thank you

It's possible but I would have an understanding with the vet to take her back if they don't get along. Could the water level be increased? You might also need an upgrade in filtration.

water is as high as we can go we are useing an aquatop cf500 canister filter rated fo 175 gallons with a flow rate of 535 gph talked to the vet today and says we can bring her back also said the sise of the pond is sufficent for the two

Well there ya go then. Give it a shot but I would watch them real close at first.
