I have never been sure. I've looked at all the indications, and even now at near 11 years, I'm still not sure. When I first got them, Eddie had a white "Mohawk" running down "his" spine. At the time, Eddie Vedder also was sporting a hawk. Pearl Jam being my fav band, it was an obvious choice of names. If "he" is a male, great. If not, its OK. Lol
They both seem to respond to their names, and they have always been happy turts.

Eddie is probably a female, though I would need other pics to confirm. Glad to hear they're happy
