How to tell if a turtle is healthy

How can you tell if a RES is healthy?
I think my turtle is uhealthy because my equipment is not complete. I have no basking area, now UVB, no Heater, no FILTER, NOTHING.. I'm afraid for my turtle, but he semmed to be very active and responsive especially when it's feeding time.. Please help

If he is healthy now, he might not be for long without the proper setup. At the very least, setup this tank so he has a dry basking area with heat, easiest way is from a regular 60 watt lightbulb. If you need some help, feel free to ask a lot of questions / post pictures.

There is no single answer about the health of a turtle. Their care is like a jig-saw puzzle. One can do real good in one area, and unknowingly do poorly in another. So, just do the best you can all around. As I've learned - it's better to be 'good' across the board than it is to go for perfection in one area, and neglect the rest.
