I am new to this site. I have a 1 year old Red Ear Slider named Slick. He is AWESOME. I rescued him from a lady who could not take care of him anymore. He is 6 inches long and weighs a whopping 15.3 ounces. He's a big boy. When I got him he would hiss at me, and try to bite me. I can now pick him up, rub under his chin, and he won't hiss at me. I have even got him to eat food out of my hand. He LOVES meal worms, gold fish, dried shrimp and sometimes the floating pellets.

You can rub his chin?! That's AMAZING.
How long did that take you to accomplish? I really want mine to be friendlier but they don't seem to like me much, except for Betty.
