Hi ... I just bought 2 RES for my grand kids. They will be living with me ... the turtles, not the kids I need all the advice you can give me. They are about 1 1/4 inches long. One dark and one light green. These guys are little cuties.
I have 2 aquariums, one fresh and one salt, a parakeet, 2 dogs and a pond. Love this forum !!

Hi! I'm also new to caring for RES and in the turtle world.. I never thought I'd fall in love with my two guys but since I took them in they have made my days highly pleasant they are funny little characters although my guys are bigger.. their names are Biggie (he's the big bully) he's 4" and Little Houdini (the escape artist, lol) he's 3 1/2" I say he to both because i'm not sure what their sexes are yet.. but I'm learning little by little... but honestly they are truly fun!!
