Hi! Just registered into the site so I'm very new here but excited to learn more about my RES.. I was given two of them, they are my bad boys all though I don't know if they're male and female, lol.
There names are Biggie (because he's the bigger one), and little houdini (because he's smaller and always tries to escape his tank.. they are a joy to watch and since i've received them they have grown a lot.. well at least biggie has. They love to beg and just like little kids they love to push at each other and sometimes they will snap at each other.

I might have a lot of question's for you all, and I hope you don't mind.. i'd really like to learn how to care for them and keep them safe and healthy. They are my babies and pray they outlive me, I'm sure they will lol! Can't wait to meet all of you...

Hi Steve, well hm... exactly how do I measure them should I measure the size of their shell from front to back?, I can tell you when I first got them biggie was round like the size of a beer mug and little houdini was the size of a chips ahoy cookie. Although little is still small he has grown a lot more since when I first got them and biggie well the name fits him perfectly he sure is a lot bigger. So once you tell me how to measure them I can give you their exact sizes. Thanks

Ok I got it!! well Biggie is exactly 4" front to back and Little Houdini is 3 1/2"

You should be able to sex Biggie now and Little Houdini soon.

I think biggie is a boy his claws are starting to get really long.. but trying to see the little dot in their tail is not easy little is still a bit afraid of being handled so he hides in his shell as soon as he gets picked up and curls his tail so I can't really see, but sometimes I wonder if little is a female since her claws are shorter, but I'll just wait a little more until I can figure out their sexes.. for now I'll still call them my little guys...
