Hey all. I am not a new RES owner or anything. I am around on other turt forums but I actually didn't know this one existed until I was searching up habitat pictures recently to get ideas for my ATBA ramp. I am sort of having trouble coming up with something.

Anyway, so I've had Twurt about 5 years I think. He is about 5 inches and lives in a 56 gallon column tank. I am in the process of finally making an ATBA and it is near completion, yay!

I've never owned any other aquatics, but I have homed a russian tortoise before. I rehomed him when we moved about 3 years ago due to insufficient space. We moved from having a home to renting a townhouse without a yard, so I had nowhere to put him outside and inside is smaller too. I found a lady who owned quite a number of these in a very large, caged off area outside so I felt content rehoming him there.

I will post more up to date pictures soon. Everything is sort of a mess with getting ready to implement the ATBA and also because I just got a new filter. I finally went canister, yay! Best investment ever.

For pictures of him when he was a baby, you can find them on my personal website http://my-version.org/Twurtle/pics.html Please don't mind the newbish equipment. That was only after I first bought Twurt and didn't know much better. I just had his heat lamp like that until I later on got him lamps with heat and UVB and a bigger tank. These were taken the first week or 2 of having him :)

Oh, I almost forgot! This is all about him for sure but while we're introducing.. Hi! My name is Sara, I'm 26 and I live in southwest Florida. Nice to meet you all!

Welcome to the site! That setup looks OK for a first one, I bet he's had plenty of goody upgrades.
