We're in NY, and adopted these guys a few weeks ago. The previous owner named them (I LOVE Mortimer as a name for a turtle, especially a girl turtle
), but seems to have done minimal care for them, so they're pretty hearty and rugged, just like a New Yorker should be. 
We're doing our best to give them everything they could ever need, and love watching tv with them right there in the room with us, hanging out on the speaker end of the tank "listening" in. I think right now our big project is setting up a nesting area, and it's fascinating to see all the different ideas people have on the forums! So cool!!! Thanks for reading.
