Hello there, I've been following this site for a few months now but just registered a few minutes ago.

A little about me:

29, from Toronto, kept turtles since I was a kid, and now finally am able to restart the hobby. This is my first experience with RES turtles as I kept aquatics from Kavkaz prior, but so far so good, they are almost a year old now and in great health!

I keep a 75 gallon community tank with 2 RES, Jack Dempsey cichlid (6 inches long) and a Pleco that is almost 8 inches long. My setup:

75 gallons with no top/canopy, mounted dual t5HO lamp spanning the entire length + a UV lamp in one corner with the basking area
Eheim 2217 filter
3 inches deep layer of fluorite for the plants I am planning on getting (yes, I know it will be a challenge, but my turtles are usually slightly overfed so I am hoping for the best)
Large fluval heater, keeping the temp at 78 degrees Fahrenheit.

I can upload pictures if anyone is interested :)

Thank you for the welcome :) I took a few pics but they are incredibly tiny, going to have to borrow my gf's camera before I can upload pictures that will do them justice!
