Hello MY name is Sergio and I have 5 RES and they are all my babies!
I have recently aquaired a baby Res; I suspect she has an RI. I have tried several methods to aide (TINK,TINK)
I have increased the temp on the water, and the basking area. She has showed some progress, yet she still does the open mouth breathing, floats in the water, and her eyes are also puffy. I have bout thr turtle drops and It has heleped her eyes some what  She seems to eat when she feels better. I have noticed droppings in her tank Is that a good sign? Also she is more active then she was in the begining. She sneezes from time to time, less everyday. she swims a lot and no longer swims sideways. I really want her to get better I am open to any sagestions thank you

My suggestion is take her to the vet.....She needs antibiotics.
Keep her separated from the healthy turtles or they will all end up sick.
On another note....5 RES will require very large enclosures. Are you ready for that?

THx, For replying

I have a huge customize thank for my adult RE. I had them since they where babies, (Tink, Tink) was given to me by someone who couldn't handle the responsability. I tried to help her, yet she shows signs of being a fighter. I will take her to a vet I figured she needed antibiotics. I have been doing major research on RI and other common turtle illnesses. Do you guys recommend any plants for RES ?

Plants are a good part of the diet, though younger RES might be more reluctant. How big is she now?
