Hey everyone.

My name is Phil, and i recently aquired 2 RES rescues. I work in a small reptile shop and we got a call from a guy who was going to toss his 15 turtle collection into the nearest river if we didnt take them. :o So we did and now we have 3 ponds full of RES that we need to rehome.

Anyways, the ones i took were, a 5-6" Male Rio Grande Red Ear, and a 4-5" female RES. Theyre so awesome, very inquisitive and fantastic eaters. I was quite impressed as id always overlooked RES as interesting, and found them to be too common for my taste but i love these guys! :D

Unfortunately for now they share a 55g long tank (48x13x18in), as my space is a bit limmited and i took them in a pinch, but I am designing a turtle table for them built around a 150g stock tank(6x2x2ft).

Anyways, heres some pictures of "Jack and Sally"(M'lady picked the names  )

Welcome Phil! Where are you located? Perhaps there's some others on here that are looking for an addition to their turtle family and could help you adopt out the remaining rescues.
