hey everbody! this seems like a great forum. last week i bought a baby RES from the streets of philadelphia. a man was selling them from his van for $10. i admit it was kind of an impulse purchase, but i am doing everything a can to provide the proper setup for my little guy, Arch (named after the lead singer of a band i saw that day called Illinois). he is about 1.5 inches (not exactly legal...) but i have provided him with a large tank, heater, lamp, and basking rock. he seems pretty happy, but maybe not eating as much as i thought he would. i hope its just the stress of being in a new environment and that with time he will adjust. i just dont know how long to wait before it really becomes serious... all in all, i hope to get some good advice from all of the experienced turtle owners and learn as much as i can about my new pet!
(thats kind of what he looks like, hehe)
