hello everyone,
r2d2 is my male red ear slider keeps on biting my other red ear slider on her neck. ive noticed he does his mating dance and i don't know if this is normal for him to bite her. we have separated them for the meantime. i would appreciate any advice on the matter. thank you.

It would be more appropriate to post your question in the right board.

In the mean time, it's best if you separate your turtles like you already did.
Turtle is a solitary pet most of the time. Without a large enough enclosure,
aggression may occur. Even with large enclosure, aggression might happen.

Your turtle is being an aggresive breeder. He probably will never stop this.

How big is the male compared to the female? Best chance of putting them back together is if your female is small wait till she gets much bigger.
