Just wanted to say hello to all fellow turtle lovers. I have just recently, within the last 4 months gotten 3 RES and I love them!!! I found this website a few weeks ago and cant stop reading all the posts. I have gotten so much useful information!! I have a juvenile RES, female, named Tuck! My 3 year old named her. And just a few days ago we got two babies, and he named then Tanner and Tucker!! We were told the were males but I am not really sure at what age a person can really tell. So far so good. They are eating and basking and swimming around a little bit!! The only question I have with them is how much water can they really stand being so little. I want them to be able to swim around but not have it too deep!!

hi welcome. to start you off on the question, it depends on how big the turtle is. so if i wore you i wouldnt fill the tank to the tip top if theres little babies in the tank. if you can try and post pictures and it will help us very much. WELCOME

Welcome! There are many sticky's as to water depth. They should have access to a basking area and sleeping area. Keep checking in!
