Hi everyone, I am a somewhat new turle owner

Just wanted to say Hi. I rescued a RES about 2 months ago. She is 4 years old and 8 1/2" long. Her name is Myrtle and she is super sweet. She was kept in a 20 gallon tank. She is now in a 55 gallon tank and loving life!

hey and welcome to the forum. kudos for saving her from that tiny home and giving her a much bigger one - but be prepared for another upgrade, she'll need much more space as she keeps growing!

Yeah, from what I have read, I really need to have her in a 90 gallon tank but I don't have room for it just yet. Hopefully she will be ok in the 55 for a few months.
