Hello one and all, my daughter found a turtle in our apartment complex abandoned, in a tank with water as filthy as sewage. Stinking to the high heavens and from all that I can tell, as noted, abandoned.

So we took the poor girl in and have had her the past month or so and we are all getting a crash course on red ear sliders.

Its too bad she didn't find something that she could care for herself! lol but honestly Sally has become part of the family (even though she bit my daughter much to her chagrin) and so I am here to make sure that Sally can get the best possible care. I have questions but will hit the other forums to post in the right spot, but I am here with Sally in mind.

Welcome frog head, Ask any questions you want here and we will try to inform you best, Is the water heated by any way? do you have a basking area? Filtration? what size tank?
