Hi, just wanted to say that im new here. I don't have a turtle yet but im getting an RES(in about a month). I just wanted to go to a forum and talk about what is required and all that stuff. So i have a couple questions and will appreciate it if you guys answer

1.)How big of a tank to start off?
2.)How deep should the water be?
3.) Do they get lonely?
4.) is this a good pet for a beginner
5.) if anyone lives in Charleston, SC and knows a place that sells the turtles
that would be great.

P.S- Bowser is what im gonna name him

1. 10 gallons per inch. Example 12 inch female = 120 gallon
2. As deep as you can without a chance of your turtle escaping.
3. No. Turtles a solitary animals
4. If you dont know the proper care requirements
5. I dont live in SC but pet store and adoption places would be good.

Great of you to research BEFORE getting the turtle! So many people get them before they realize all that goes into it! Great thinking! It will be so nice to bring home your little (or big) one into a great home already set up!
