Hi everyone!
I'm new to the site! It seems great. I have recently acquired a 12-year-old red eared slider that was treated very badly at his prior home. I'm working hard to create a "perfect life" for him. He seems SO happy now, but I seem to always have questions etc. so I think this will be a great thing for me. So, are there any fellow Texans on here????

*raises hand* Hi, I'm in Houston.

So nice of you to take in a neglected turtle. It's hard to find a nice home for older, larger turtles. Hope it's going well and we can hardly wait to see some pics.

i wish i lived in texas so that we could build a year round outdoor pond but unfortunately the north east only has a few months of really warm weather.
