Hey I got a slider a few months ago from a local pet shop. The guy at the store said the turtle would be fine in a 10 gal tank (my girlfriend had an old one). I bought the turtle and did some research only to find out the 10gal for inch of shell rule and knew that I had to fix the problem. Well in a few months I went from 1 turtle in 10gal to 3 in a 120 with an above tank basking area. You have to love the little money pits.

welcome. it's funny how you go from one turtle to three within a few months. i have three as well . good for you, and welcome again ^^.

One is 4 inches and the other is 5. I adopted the 3rd but am going to have to take her back because she is biting the other 2. She is 7 inches and a great turtle so I hope someone gives her a good home. She is going to have to be in a tank by herself. Its sad to see her go but I can't keep her.

It's good that you noticed the aggression early, rather than after something happened. I'm sure someone will come along and adopt her. Welcome to the forum!
