I've had turtles for about 5 or 6 years now and my latest one (red eared slider) is one I rescued from someone's house. The kids weren't taking care of it and was in the tank with no water and they couldn't remember the last time they had fed it. He's made a complete turn around and is now healthy and active with me. Right now I'm working on getting a larger tank for him to enjoy, but can't seem to find any. Could someone possibly help me out here? It'd be greatly appreciated, thanks

check on craigslist where you are located, always used tanks for sale, and some even for free

glasscages.com has some pretty good deals for tank if they're delivering near you.
I found my 55gal tank at a super Walmart for $150. It came with a filter heater and extra stuff.

Also, spring cleaning time, check out local newspaper ads and garage sales. Pet stores occasionally have sales, but not that often.
Good thing you rescued them!
