Hi everyone, just got 2 baby turtles 2 months ago, they've been doing great! One of them is a red ear slider (red eared slider? which is it?) and the other looks like, from what i've googled, a Mississippi map turtle.

This forum has helped a whole lot in prepping their tank and stuff! thanks everyone

this is teh best place for new turtle owners. i knew nothing of turtle care when i first came here cept that they needed a heat lamp. but thanks to this forum and the website i now belive im ready when i finally do set up my tank.

I'm not sure how old mine are.... how do you tell? I got them as a gift and the people who gave them to me bought them at a pet store. I also dont know whether they're male or female - but from what I read here, I guess I have to wait until they grow bigger to tell?
